BRING A REFUGEE CAMP EXPERIENCE TO YOUR CHURCH LOBBY

When you host a Refugee Sunday at your church, you can make it a weekend event your church will never forget by incorporating Fleeing Home: A Refugee Story to your program.

ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

The refugee crisis and Syria’s war are complex humanitarian topics. They are challenging to explain to your congregation. World Vision can help.

Your lobby will transform into a refugee camp. This fully immersive experience will educate and inspire your congregation to understand God’s heart for refugees. Visitors will experience stories of war-torn Syrian families living in some of the harshest conditions in the world today.

  • A World Vision representative will manage the exhibit and volunteers
  • This exhibit goes in your lobby and needs a 25' x 12' x 14' space
  • Visitors go through a 5-7 minute self-guided tour on their smartphones
  • The exhibit is shipped to your church the week before, and World Vision takes care of all shipping arrangements

MAKE FLEEING HOME PART OF YOUR REFUGEE SUNDAY

Our Refugee Sunday kit has tools for your church's weekend services that tell the stories of families fleeing war, help you understand God's heart for the most vulnerable, and provide tangible ways to make a difference.

RESOURCES FOR YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES

We provide you with a video to inspire your congregation to serve Syrian refugees this year, talking points and sermon notes for you to deliver an impactful talk, and resources to promote your event.

SMALL GROUP PRAYER AND DISCUSSION GUIDE

Challenge your small groups to put their faith into action through our new 4-week study that explores the biblical themes of compassion and love for neighbor.

TANGIBLE WAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

People in your church will have the opportunity to become Refugee Responders and give monthly to support the urgent needs of refugees living in unimaginable situations.
